Norway covers an area of 385,639 km2. It is located in the north of Europe and has a small population of 4.6 million people. The weather is very cold all over the country with average temperatures of -5º in winter and 15º in summer.
Some areas in the north are inhabited. It is remarkable the big amount of natural lakes, mountains and cliffs to the Northern Sea, the famous fiords.
Norway is a constitutional monarchy and does belong to the European Union since 1995. The official language is the Norwegian, although English is widely spoken.
As a highly developed country, Norway benefits of all kind of infrastructures such like roads, trains, airports, telecommunications, but also hospitals, financial institutions, etc.
Norway boasts of its high standard of living, the 3rd in the world. Also its GDP (gross domestic product) per head is the 2nd in the world. The economic foundations are the services (60%) and Industry (37%).
